We love eating muffins for breakfast, snack or even dessert and are always looking for quick go-to recipes. Today we are excited to share with you these delicious Gluten-Free Cara Cara Chia Muffins! These muffins will be the perfect addition to your Easter breakfast or brunch menu or to make as a family for an after school snack.<\/p>\n<p>We prefer making own quick muffin batter instead of a store bought mix because a lot of conventional mixes contain a ton of added sugar, dairy, flavorings and artificial ingredients. This is the type of fiber that feeds your good gut microbes and helps them thrive! When those microbes are well nourish, your gut is able to heal itself and digestion runs smoother. Oranges are also a good source of potassium, which is essential for heart function, nerve function and muscle contraction.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Buckwheat<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Despite it&#8217;s name, buckwheat does not actually contain wheat, making it a great gluten-free alternative! It is an excellent source of plant-based protein containing about 6 grams per 1\/4 cup! It also contains 12 amino acids that work toward muscle and cell growth. The antioxidants found in buckwheat may help stabilize blood pressure and protect against certain diseases such as cancer.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Chia Seeds<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Chia seeds are a great addition into meals and snacks because they contain fiber, healthy omega-3 fats, and even a little protein. Just 2 tablespoons contains almost 5 grams of protein and almost 10 grams of fiber!
